What is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive practice that works with the body’s natural energy systems.

It can support:

  • nervous system regulation

  • emotional release (without overwhelm)

  • deep rest and relaxation

  • a sense of grounding and clarity

Many people describe feeling:

  • warmth or tingling

  • lighter, clearer, more themselves

A trauma-informed approach

At Raise Your Village, Reiki is always offered through a trauma-informed and neurodiverse-aware lens.

This means:

  • You are always in control of your session

  • Touch is discussed and consent-led

  • You can talk, rest, or sit in silence

  • Your nervous system sets the pace — not me

There is no expectation to “open up” or revisit anything you’re not ready for.

This is about supporting your system safely, not pushing it.
